ICFMS 2027 is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, research quality, fairness, and ethical publication practices. All submissions must represent original scholarly work and comply with accepted standards of authorship, citation, research ethics, peer review, and academic conduct.

 

Publication Opportunities

ICFMS 2027 offers a structured publication pathway for accepted contributions.

 

Book of Abstracts

All accepted abstracts presented at ICFMS 2027 will be published in the official ICFMS 2027 Book of Abstracts, carrying a registered ISBN.

 

Conference Proceedings

Accepted full-length papers that successfully complete the peer-review, revision, and conference evaluation process will be considered for publication in the ICFMS 2027 Conference Proceedings.

The conference proceedings are intended for publication through an academic publication partner with indexing coverage in:

• Scopus

• Web of Science (WoS)

Final inclusion of individual papers and indexing will remain subject to the editorial, publication, and indexing policies of the respective proceedings publisher and indexing databases.

 

Special Issues in Partner Journals

A selected number of exceptional and high-quality papers presented at ICFMS 2027 will be invited for consideration in Special Issues of Partner Journal(s).

Partner journals will be selected from journals indexed in:

• Scopus

• Web of Science (WoS)

Selection for Special Issue consideration may take into account the quality of the manuscript, peer-review evaluation, originality and significance of the research, response to reviewer comments, and the quality of the conference presentation.

An invitation to submit to a Special Issue does not guarantee publication. Invited manuscripts may require substantial extension or revision and will undergo the independent editorial and peer-review process of the respective journal.

 

Publication Ethics

Originality and Plagiarism

Submitted manuscripts must contain original work and must not contain plagiarised, fabricated, falsified, or improperly attributed material.

All submissions may undergo plagiarism and similarity screening. Similarity reports will be assessed contextually by the conference editorial team rather than solely on the basis of a numerical similarity score.

Submissions containing substantial plagiarism, inappropriate duplication, or serious violations of research integrity may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage.

 

Duplicate and Simultaneous Submission

A manuscript submitted to ICFMS must not be simultaneously under review by another conference or journal in substantially the same form.

Any previous publication, preprint, thesis, report, conference contribution, or other scholarly output substantially related to the submitted work should be appropriately disclosed and cited.

 

Authorship

Only individuals who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research should be listed as authors.

All co-authors must:

• approve the submitted version of the manuscript;

• agree to the order of authorship; and

• accept responsibility for their contribution to the work.

Guest, honorary, gift, and ghost authorship are not permitted.

 

Data Integrity

Authors are responsible for the authenticity and accuracy of the data, analysis, figures, tables, models, simulations, and results reported in their manuscripts.

Fabrication, falsification, inappropriate manipulation of data, or deliberate misrepresentation of research findings will constitute grounds for rejection, withdrawal, or other appropriate corrective action.

 

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants, surveys, interviews, experiments, personal data, stated-preference studies, behavioural observations, or other activities requiring ethical oversight must comply with applicable institutional and national ethical requirements.

Where required, authors should provide details of ethical approval and informed consent within the manuscript.

 

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, collaborative, supervisory, personal, or other relationship that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the impartial evaluation of a submission.

 

Author Declaration of Reviewer Conflicts

ICFMS 2027 currently follows a single-blind peer-review process, in which the reviewers may have access to the identities and affiliations of the authors, while the identities of the reviewers remain confidential to the authors.

To preserve the integrity and impartiality of the review process, authors are therefore required to declare conflicts of interest with potential reviewers through the Microsoft CMT submission portal at the time of submission.

Authors should appropriately identify individuals with whom a genuine conflict of interest exists, including, where applicable:

• recent or ongoing research collaborators;

• current or recent colleagues from the same institution;

• doctoral or postdoctoral supervisors and supervisees;

• individuals having a close professional or personal relationship with the authors; or

• individuals where another demonstrable circumstance may reasonably compromise independent review.

Conflict declarations should be made responsibly and must not be used to improperly exclude qualified reviewers solely because they may provide a critical academic assessment.

The ICFMS Technical/Scientific Committee may take declared conflicts into consideration while assigning reviewers.

 

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence and generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, validity, citations, and integrity of all submitted material.

Any substantial use of generative AI in research analysis, content generation, interpretation, or manuscript preparation should be appropriately disclosed.

AI-generated or manipulated data, references, results, images, or research findings presented as genuine scholarly output are strictly prohibited.

 

Peer Review and Evaluation

Full papers submitted to ICFMS 2027 will undergo a single-blind academic peer-review process.

Papers will be evaluated based on:

• relevance to the themes and scope of ICFMS;

• originality and contribution;

• methodological quality;

• scientific and technical rigour;

• validity of analysis and findings;

• clarity and organisation of the manuscript;

• significance to future mobility research and practice; and

• appropriate response to reviewer and editorial comments.

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts before final acceptance.

Acceptance of an abstract does not automatically imply acceptance of the corresponding full paper for publication.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

• provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based assessments;

• maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts;

• disclose any conflicts of interest;

• decline assignments where impartial review cannot reasonably be ensured;

• refrain from using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage; and

• avoid personal, discriminatory, or inappropriate comments.

Reviewers must not distribute or disclose manuscripts or unpublished research received through the ICFMS review process.

 

Responsibilities of the Conference Editorial Committee

The ICFMS Technical/Scientific Committee will endeavour to ensure that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and on their academic merit.

Reviewer assignments will consider subject expertise and declared conflicts of interest.

Editorial decisions will be based on academic quality, relevance, research integrity, reviewer recommendations, revision quality, and other applicable conference evaluation criteria.

 

Corrections, Withdrawal and Misconduct

If authors identify a significant error in a submitted or accepted manuscript, they should promptly inform the ICFMS editorial team.

ICFMS reserves the right to reject, withdraw, or recommend corrective action concerning a manuscript where credible evidence exists of:

• plagiarism;

• fabrication or falsification;

• duplicate publication;

• unethical research;

• inappropriate authorship;

• manipulated peer review;

• undisclosed serious conflicts of interest; or

• other significant violations of publication ethics.

Authors will ordinarily be provided an opportunity to respond to substantive allegations before a final determination is made.

 

Important Publication Note

Publication in the conference proceedings or a Partner Journal is subject to successful peer review, satisfactory revision, conference presentation and evaluation, editorial approval, compliance with publication requirements, and the policies of the respective publisher or journal.

Indexing of proceedings or journal content is ultimately governed by the respective publisher, Scopus, Web of Science, and other indexing databases. Consequently, indexing of an individual paper cannot be independently guaranteed by ICFMS.

By submitting a manuscript to ICFMS 2027, authors acknowledge that they have read and agreed to comply with the conference's publication ethics, conflict-of-interest declaration requirements, peer-review procedures, presentation evaluation criteria, and publication guidelines.
